Ellen Margrét Bæhrenz
Ellen Margrét Bæhrenz graduated from The Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2021. She has since taken on the role of Mía in tv series VENJULEGT FÓLK streaming on Sjónvarp Símans and appeared in sketches for the Red Cross Iceland on national television. On stage, Ellen has recently been in Sigríður Soffía Níelsdóttir’s TIL HAMINGU MEÐ AÐ VERA MANNLEG in the National Theater of Iceland and Ágústa Skúladóttir’s HETJA in Tjarnarbíó, as well as having been a part of multiple theater productions both in The National Theater of Iceland and the Reykjavík City Theater, MAMMA MÍA the musical, MARY POPPINS the musical, LAZYTOWN and Harpa Arnardóttir’s KARITAS, to name a few.
Before pursuing acting, Ellen danced professionally with the Icelandic Dance Company, partaking in multiple productions and touring all over Europe and the USA. The most significant being Lára Stefánsdóttir’s THE SWAN (a duet performed in Kennedy Center Washington DC), Helena Jónsdóttir’s TÍMAR and Jorma Uotinen’s PETRUSHKA(the role of Petrushka). Ellen also has a strong backround in horse riding.
